Four ways to work with us

Most engagements start as one of these and turn into another. The contract follows the work, not the other way round.

Custom software

Built for how you actually work

Applications, platforms and internal systems shaped around your business — not around what an off-the-shelf tool will let you do. We take it from scoping through to production.

What you get
  • Discovery and a written scope before any code
  • A working system in staging you can use, early
  • Production deployment on infrastructure you own
  • Documentation good enough to hand to another engineer
How it is structured

Usually a fixed-scope project with staged delivery. Longer builds run in monthly phases so you can stop or change direction between them.

Websites

Fast, measurable, yours to run

Marketing sites, landing pages and storefronts that load quickly and can be edited without a developer. Built on infrastructure you own, not rented from a page builder.

What you get
  • Design and build, responsive and accessible
  • Content you can edit without calling us
  • Analytics and search fundamentals set up properly
  • Hosting on your own accounts, in your name
How it is structured

Fixed price against a fixed page count. Most sites take three to six weeks depending on how much content exists at the start.

Embedded engineering

Senior capacity inside your team

We work in your repo, your stack and your standup on a monthly retainer. No recruitment process, no three-month ramp-up, no notice period to negotiate.

What you get
  • An agreed number of engineering days per month
  • Working in your tools, your process, your review flow
  • Direct access — you talk to whoever is writing the code
  • Month to month, cancellable with notice
How it is structured

A monthly retainer. Sensible when you need senior engineering for longer than a project but less than a permanent hire.

Product launches

Zero to live

First versions for new ventures and new lines of business, scoped down to what it takes to reach real users. You get something people can pay for, not a prototype.

What you get
  • Scope cut to what actually has to exist at launch
  • Payments, accounts and the boring essentials working
  • Live on real infrastructure, not a demo environment
  • A clear list of what we deliberately left out
How it is structured

Fixed scope, fixed timeline. The hard part is deciding what not to build, and we will push back on scope that does not earn its place.

Pricing

We quote before you commit

We do not publish day rates, because a day rate tells you nothing useful about what a piece of work costs. What we do instead: a first conversation, then a written scope with a price and a date against it. If the number is wrong for you, you have lost an hour rather than a deposit.

Tell us what needs to exist.

Send a couple of paragraphs about the problem. We will come back with what it would take to build — scope, timeline and cost — or tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.
